Ruby Developer Jr.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a junior computer programmer who is comfortable with both front and backend programming. Ruby Junior Developer are responsible for assisting in developing web applications, maintaining backend and frontend code, and collaborating with graphic designers on web design features, among other duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high-quality code that solves important financial operations problems.
• Participate in design discussions to help create the best solution for product features.
• Work under the guidance of senior developers to implement solutions.
• Collaborate with the rest of the development team to ensure software quality.
• Continuously strive to improve development skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of professional experience developing software applications.
• At least 1 year using with Ruby and Ruby on Rails framework.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Some familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS or React.
• Understanding of database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to start tasks independently but willing to ask for help when needed, understanding that reaching out is an essential part of professional development.
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to meet customer and market needs.

Nice to have

• Previous role in large B2B projects.
• Experience with Docker / Docker Compose / Kubernetes.

Others

• English Level: Fluency (mandatory).
• Reside in Buenos Aires or nearby.
